Legislation and Law Reform

MANDATE

The Legislation & Law Reform Committee is a Standing Committee of CBA Saskatchewan. Its primary mandate is to assist CBA Saskatchewan in promoting improvements in the law and administration of justice by:

  • Promoting consideration of legal and policy issues which are of interest or concern to the legal community or which the Association can provide input to public debate.
  • Promoting and facilitating adoption by the Association of principled positions based on sound, comprehensive analysis of legal and policy issues.
  • Ensuring that positions adopted by the Association are clearly and accurately presented to government, other stakeholders, and the public.
  • Promoting implementation of Association policy on substantive issues.
