The Community Service Award recognizes the valuable contributions of our members serving the communities in our province who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, service and commitment to the community.
Eligibility
• Must be a member of the Saskatchewan Branch with ten years call to the bar.
• Must be a resident of Saskatchewan.
• Must have made exceptional contributions and/or achievements using volunteer skills for the betterment of the community or a non-profit organization.
• Exhibited the highest standards of professional conduct and competence.
Nomination Procedure
The nomination must include the following:
• A completed Nomination form.
• A letter stating the full details for the candidate’s nomination including a description of the exemplary performance, the time frame involved and the impact.
• Signatures of three (3) CBA members.
• The Nominee’s written consent and curriculum vitae.
• Letters of support if available.
Deadline
Nominations must be received by April 15.
Selection Process
• Selection made by CBA Saskatchewan Awards Committee.
• Nominations are valid for two years.
• The number of Awards to be presented annually will not exceed one.
• The Awards Committee retains the right to not present the Award in any given year.
• Members of the current Board of Directors are not eligible.
• Except under extraordinary circumstances, former Board members of the Branch are not eligible for a period of three (3) years from the date that their service ended;
Presentation
• The recipient will receive a bronze statue at an Awards Ceremony.
