2017 Mock Trial Competition

Law Day is a national event every April that celebrates the signing of Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms. As part of Law Day, the Mock Trial Competition recreates the dramatic centre of the justice system by allowing high school students to play roles in trial including prosecutor, defence counsel and witness.

This year the Mock Trial Competition was held in Saskatoon on April 8.  We would like to congratulate all particpants for their enthusiasm and dedication to excellence.

We would also like to acknowledge the following award recepients:

  • McKercher Cup Provincial Champion awarded to Winston Knoll Collegiate, Regina
  • Best Overall Individual Performance - Allison Leegwater, Yorkton Regional High School
  • Best Defence Lawyer - Jayden Bissky, St Mary High School, Prince Albert
  • Best Prosecutor - Jina Bae, St. Mary High School, Prince Albert
  • Best Witness - Braydon Caron, St. Louise Public School
